Li-Ft is an all natural, non-irritating saline solution that helps lighten / remove unwanted pigment / ink using natural ingredients. Its a high concentrate, saline based solution with lemon and orange seed extract, which aids in fading and exfoliation, as well as containing aloe vera, which helps with skin conditioning and has been proven to reduce and remove the majority of tattoos. It's manufactured by Li-pigment, who are a long standing company with a great reputation in the industry.
Saline tattoo removal is not only gentle to the skin, leaving your skin intact when removing pigment / ink, but it's effective
Benefits of saline tattoo removal:
In place of ink, Li-Ft solution is used which penetrates the deeper layers of the skin in a process called (Osmosis). This is when molecules of a solvent pass through a semipermealbe membrane from a less concentrated solution into a more concentrated solution, which achieves the same amount of concentration on each side of the membrane. Water in the cells beneath the pigment contain lower amounts of salt, and so will rise to the area containing higher concentrations of salt (which is your saline solution). It's through this process the ink is lifted to the skins service to form a scab that will eventually fall off taking the unwanted ink with it, resulting in a lighter tattoo.
While saline tattoo removal isn't painless, its no more painful than getting a regular tattoo, and far less painful than other tattoo removal options ie, laser removal, surgical excision and microdermabrasion.
Saline tattoo removal procedures take less time to do than getting your tattoo done. However, the length of the session comes down to the the size of the tattoo you're wanting removed. It's important to remember that the time between each session is 6-8 weeks (no sooner) as it's critical that the skin is given adequate time to heal. The lifting process takes course over several weeks, so the end results are not instant. Patience is important when deciding to have a tattoo removed as it's not possible to rush the process. Over doing the skin in a single sitting or booking sessions too close together will result in unnecessary damage to the skin.
There is no set number of sessions, in some cases one session will be enough, and in others, there will be a few needed. However, after a consultation you will have a better understanding of what is required for the removal of your tattoo, and what to expect throughout your treatment.
Factors that will effect how many sessions will be needed, theses are as follows:
There is no more down time to saline tattoo removal, than that of a regular tattoo. However, it's important you follow the aftercare form given at your booking to the letter. Not only will it help your skin heal better, but will ensure you get the best results possible.
Prices start from £55 per session. However, the amount of sessions you need will be assessed accordingly in your consultation.
